Lazy Astronaut is a single-player and multiplayer arcade game. It does not require an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
Your progress is saved locally on your device only, in the app's own storage. This covers your high score, coins, unlocked ships and worlds, power-up upgrade levels, letter progress, and your music and sound effect volume settings. This information is not transmitted to us and is deleted if you delete the app.
When you join a multiplayer race, two things are broadcast in real time to the other players in that race:
Please avoid using your real name or any personal information as a display name, since other players in your race will see it. This data travels over a realtime messaging service (Supabase) purely to keep the race in sync. It is not written to a database by us, and it stops existing when the race ends.
Any purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address or account credentials.
Lazy Astronaut shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. There are two kinds:
To serve an ad, Google collects information about your device and about the ad itself. That can include a device identifier, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and technical details such as your device model and operating system version. Google uses it to choose and measure ads and to detect fraud.
We never receive any of it. What reaches us is an aggregate total: how many ads were shown and what they earned. Google's own policy explains the rest: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
On iOS this app does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and it does not use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). Ads are served without it, which means they are less personalised. On Android, ads use your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings.
There is no separate analytics or crash-reporting service in the app. The only measurement that happens is the part Google performs to serve the ads described above. We do not profile you and we do not sell data about you.
Lazy Astronaut is made for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The ads themselves are chosen by Google and its ad partners rather than by us.
